Laser Show using EEG magnets
Occasionally my Dad brings me some "junk" from the hospital. This is another variation of the laser show. Mirrors on two pens from an antiquated Electroencephalography machine generate patterns and draw simple pictures. My original intent was to use it as an oscilloscope--sweep the time domain with one pen and look at a signal on the other pen. Unfortunately, the actuators had too much inertia and excessive ringing on wave corners. However, driving it with two sine waves generates nice Lissajou patterns. I programmed a PIC 16F877 to drive the mirrors with PWM. It can draw circles, smiley faces, and hearts.
